Elden Ring has a lot of different ways to play that will keep you interested for hundreds of hours, through many playthroughs and deaths. There is a lot of room for creativity in the game when it comes to making a fun build that isn’t your standard go-to build.
It’s always fun to go back to the basics, but it’s also fun to mix things up with the good, the bad, and the just plain weird. You can kill enemies with brute force or by sneaking up on them. The places between are full of weapons and armor that can make even the strangest builds scary.
Dual Shield
An assassin can pick two blades, while a ranger usually chooses a bow. But what about someone who just wants to be on the defensive? The Dual Shielder build helps with this. If you put a shield in both firearm slots, you’ll have an impenetrable defense but can’t do anything offensive.
Greatshields with 100 physical negation are the best because you can’t be hurt by physical attacks while stopping, and their weapon arts can do a lot of damage. The Black Knife set is the best choice for this build because of how good it looks and because the Black Knife chest piece gives it an extra bonus. The set can be found on a dead body in the Consecrated Snowfield, behind Orina. All of the player’s movements are muffled by the chest. This also works for jumps and rolls, so it can really come in handy.
Black Flame Wielder
It’s no secret that the Black Flame spells are some of the coolest-looking powers in Elden Ring. Not only do they look good, but they are also very strong and, with the right build, can destroy in both PvP and PvE.
It’s best to use the Raging Wolf set because its stats are geared toward general defense instead of being good against one type of enemy but not so good against others. You can get the Raging Wolf set by going on a hunt with Recusant Bernahlon to kill the Raging Wolf, Vargram. Since this build needs a lot of faith, your starting class should be the Prophet. This is because Prophets start with good stats and can use the Catch Flame spell right away.
Holy Knight
Why be a boring normal Knight when you can use holy magic to fight the forces of evil and save the Lands Between from the dark people who live there? There are many weapons that can be used with this build, but the Golden Order Greatsword, which can be found by beating the Misbegotten Crusader in the Cave of the Forlorn, stands out because it scales very well with faith.
If you like looking like a holy herald of light, the Winged Scythe is also a great choice. You can use any spell that does damage to holy things. You can find this weapon in the Tombsward Ruins, which are on the Southern Peninsula below Limgrave.
Pure Bleed
It’s no secret that when the game first came out, bleed was the most powerful state effect. Even though it’s been changed a lot, it’s still very powerful and fun to use. When it comes to defense, you should use the scary-looking White Mask because it increases the damage enemies take when they bleed.
When you kill the Nameless White Mask near Mohgwyn Palace, you’ll get the White Mask. You can use anything else you want for the rest of your protection. For this build, the only weapon you’ll need is the Rivers of Blood sword, which does a lot of damage and has a high bleed rate. Bloody Finger Okina, an enemy NPC, gives you the Rivers of Blood when you get close to the Church of Repose in the Mountaintops of the Giants.
Spellsword
Cast a lot of spells on your enemies before they can get close, and then use quick melee moves to finish off the ones who are still alive. The spellsword build is a good choice for those of us who have trouble deciding what kind of play style we want in every game.
You can choose any gear you want, but keep in mind that since you’re both a mage and a melee fighter, you’ll be putting your levels into more stats than most builds. For the physical part, weapons can also be used by anyone. The Carian Regal Scepter is good for endgame because it can do a lot of damage. But a regular Glintstone staff is fine for beginners. Intelligence/Dexterity Hybrid
Everyone agrees that the intelligence/dexterity build is one of the most powerful ones. It’s a great choice for both experienced players and newbies. The build gave you good options for guns at every level of the gam. So you’ll never feel weak as long as you use your level-ups wisely. The Moonveil is a great choice for this build. Because it scales well with agility and intelligence and has a great weapon skill. When you beat the boss of Gael Tunnel in Eastern Limgrave, you can find the Moonveil.
The Carian Armor set works well as armor. Because it has a long past and a good balance of physical and magical defense. The Carian Armor is in the Raya Lucaria Academy. The Transient Moonlight weapon skill looks good and works well in battle. It lets the person holding it use a sheathed stance to send out a wave of magic that changes depending on whether it’s a normal or heavy attack.
Valkyrie
The Valkyrie build is great for anyone who likes Norse lore and wants to play in many different ways. Valkyries fight with spears and shields, and they are very good at it. Since different people have different ideas about them, you can use any defense you want. The Cleanrot Spear is a great choice for the spear. Because it looks great and deals Holy damage that scales with Faith and Dexterity.
You’ll have to farm Cleanrot Knights around the map for a long time to get this spear. Since it doesn’t drop very often. As you level up, you should put most of your points into Dexterity, Faith, Vigor, and Endurance. This will keep your power output at a good level while keeping you strong.
